How is DevHub Different From WYSIWYG/CMS Solutions?

July 29, 2010 By - 0 Comments

For users that are trying to create useful, profitable sites for their endeavors, paying a monthly cost makes it that much harder.

Secondly, while DevHub does offer similar site editing and content management tools to current online solutions, the power of the DevHub platform is in its aggregation and distribution system, allowing us to hook in via APIs to a wide range of content and monetization partners. These integrations are then placed in modules in the editor for users to place on their site to enhance their content and revenue-generation capabilities. As an aggregated ecosystem of developers, we are often able to bring onboard exclusive partners or deals that would typically not be available to the individual developer.

Our site builder is organized by columns and module blocks. Others use templates that are very rigid to what the template allows. Within our development environment you can change headers, colors and nanvigation items that better suit your user experience. You also have access to reporting tools which give you detailed analytics.

Current partner API integrations provide users access to exclusive affiliate offers, local directories, products, property listings, job listings, photos, videos, RSS feeds, and site search. We have a dedicated business development and API integration team constantly bringing on new partnerships and integrations for users of our platform. By using DevHub's free website builder you are able to rapidly develop 10 sites at a time while maintaining quality and reporting. DevHub provides users access to monetization channels, which have been absent from all WYSIWYG/ CMS editors of yester-year.

Monetize Your Website Right;'s Free Website Builder

On the DevHub platform, you can now develop what you've always wanted and get rewarded monetarily for it. By combining the network potential of thousands of independent sites, DevHub is able to bring in a wide range of partners, affiliates, and monetization channels from across the web and place them in an easy to use drag-and-drop modules in the DevHub editor.

Making the most of your sites:

No longer are you stuck with just ads provided to you by text ad networks.

No need to go sign up and keep track of multiple ad accounts with varying report formats.

DevHub brings it all in one centralized creation, monetization, and reporting platform. Like Google Adsense or the Yahoo! Publisher Network, how much you can actually earn from your websites depends on a number of various factors, including the quality of the traffic on your site, the number of real users you are able to bring to your site, and the type of monetization modules you place on your site.

DevHub monetization channels vary in the way you can generate revenue, from payment-per-impression (PPM), payment-per-click (PPC), payment-per-action (PPA), and payment-per-lead (PPL). You receive a portion of all revenues generated from all revenue channels on your site and these channels are reported in the DevHub reporting dashboard.

The best way to find out the true earning potential of your site's is to sign up and start placing modules on your web pages. Remember to keep the integrity of your sites high, as we must analyze your sites for quality. Check out's Free Website Builder

How is DevHub Different From Single-page Creators? (Squidoo, HubPages)

July 27, 2010 By - 0 Comments

If you are a Squidoo Lensmaster or HubPage Hubber, you can easily attest to the limitations that come from the simplicity of these pages. Both Squidoo Lenses and HubPage Hubs are similarly formatted, long-scrolling single pages where users can place content (text, photos, links, videos) alongside ads from Google Ad sense and products from Amazon and eBay. Lenses or Hubs are subpages belonging to the greater Squidoo or HubPages websites and do not have much flexibility in appearance/styling.

While these pages are great for single topics, they do not have much flexibility beyond that. But what if you want to just as easily create a standalone, monetize website that goes deeper into subtopics and has its own look/feel?

DevHub provides you with this solution:

- Rather than a sub page on Squidoo or Hubpages, your actual DevHub site can be sub domained ( for free, or moved to an actual domain name (which can be purchased at DevHub or any other domain name registrar).

- DevHub sites can easily be edited using drag-and-drop technology and formatted with multiple columns, navigation, and pages. While the DevHub platform automatically provides you with a logo and theme that is ready for content placement, these sites can be further changed and personalized for color, size, and more.

- Lastly, DevHub's suite of monetization modules includes more than just ads and products, including local business listings, real estate listings, job listings, monetized video, monetized photos, and more! The DevHub team is constantly adding to this list of modules every week.

To boil it down: while Squidoo and HubPages allows you to create single, monetize pages, DevHub allows you to create flexible, even more monetize websites. Some users have started to create a Squidoo Lens or HubPage Hub for a specific topic, and then link that page to their actual website created on DevHub to provide their readers with more in-depth content on that topic and increase their own earning potential.

Check out's Free Website Builder Launched to Game Industry at CasualConnect Seattle 2010

The EVO Media Group was on hand in Seattle at CasualConnect 2010 to debut the gamified to the casual gaming industry.

This was our first foray into a meetup within this industry and we were surprised and flattered by all the buzz we got about our game!  We made a lot contacts, from major game platforms like Playdom, GameHouse, and BigFish to individual, independent game creators -- all were just blown away by the idea of DevHub once they saw the game in action!

On the first day alone we ran out of Devatar Stickers.  In order of popularity:
- Blogzilla
- LookyLoo
- Blue Ninja
- Super SEO
- The Editor

We enjoyed meeting all at the CasualConnect 2010 and look to see you all at the Social Currency Crunchup at the end of month @ Stanford (link to TechCrunch Social Currency CrunchUp).

The New DevHub Referral Dashboard

July 22, 2010 By - 4 Comments

As we've mentioned before, the DevHub development and design team is constantly working to provide you with more cool things every week. This week, we've focused on improving your ability to bring in referrals. As a refresher, for every friend you refer to DevHub, whatever that person earns on DevHub for the next three years, you will get the equivalent of 10% of those earnings! (Don't worry, we don't pull the 10% from their earnings, its taken from DevHub's own partner share.)

What does this really mean?

It means for those of you who are good at marketing or are big influencers among your online social circles, rather than building out sites yourself you should be recruiting referrals who do the building. It's just another way to play the game! In fact, we have a number of DevHub users already earning hundreds of real dollars a month from DevHub just from their referral list alone!

To make things easier to track, we've relaunched the referral module (find it in your DevHub Dashboard). There you will find a recorded list of everyone you've referred, the sites they've created, and how much you are earning from your referrals! We've made it even easier to get the word out on FaceBook by allowing you to selectively send out messages to your friends about how they should get on DevHub, which is of course tracked so you get referral credit.

What are you waiting for? Login to your DevHub account and start promoting!
